The day after … a recap of last night’s Carrotmob

First, some appreciations …

To our host, LaGrange, you did it up last night. The atmosphere was festive, the music was top-notch, the staff was amazing, and if it wasn’t already clear why you won the bidding war, the Patron shots on the house sealed the deal!

To our volunteers from GreenDrinks Dallas, Net Impact DFW, and the Deep Ellum Community Association, thank you for ensuring that the night ran smoothly and that guests felt welcomed. In particular, thank you to Lana Vilmain for herding and directing the volunteers and to Alvaro Garza for MC’ing.

Finally, thank you to all who came out to support. There is no Carrotmob without a mob, and that’s you! Your dollars will make a difference and we look forward to sharing the energy efficiency improvements that get made and the impact of those changes.

So, how’d we do? This isn’t a final, official tally, but it’s safe to say we ended up near $4,000 in gross receipts last night. With 81.5% committed to energy efficiency improvements, that means roughly $3,300 was raised for that purpose! We’ll be reconnecting our “charrette” partners (read this post for more info) with LaGrange’s ownership to determine exactly how those dollars will be spent. Come back here or visit http://dallas.carrotmob.org to get updates in the coming weeks.

We're also proud to share a couple of press clippings that have popped up already:
